My God, that’s that’s what I call a marathon baking session. I think I’ve set a record…
The stove has been on for seven hours non-stop. I have baked all the traditional Christmas food for Bill and I, our son and his family and for our annual family get together tomorrow at my nieces.
After having to clean the fridge out first thing because of leaking thawing strawberries, and discovering a few items that wouldn’t see Christmas out, I even found the energy to make one of my leftover specials, comprising a gluten free pizza base with tomatoes, cheese and streaky bacon.
Although it’s been hard work I’m very aware that I’m incredibly lucky to be alive, still fairly mobile, still able to buy presents and food, and with a loving family. I wish it were so for everyone.

One night, walking Fifth Street in Austin, Omar and the Howlers were playing in a club across the street from the club where the Fabulous Thunderbirds were playing(and Stevie Ray was sitting in).
What could have been a wonderful evening was ruined because of an argument between myself and my girlfriend.
